THE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA (INC.)
Home | About Us | Membership | Why Become a Member?
Our nursing and allied health staff specialise in MS and can provide you with valuable support from the time of diagnosis. Our services are free to financial members or can be purchased on a fee for service basis.
Various services can be accessed by appointment at most of the Society’s centres or in some cases provided in the individual’s own home.
In addition, our health professionals regularly visit members in major regional centre’s, sending out a letter to everyone in the area weeks in advance. Or you may like to make an appointment if you are coming to Perth.
As a Member you can phone to speak with staff for advice or contact us via the web page and we will get back to you.
If you don’t require any services your $20 will assist us with the costs associated with the Bulletin magazine, which will be mailed to you.
To be a Member of the Society a person must have a probable or definite diagnosis of multiple sclerosis confirmed by a neurologist.
Where it can be reasonably assumed that the person will receive a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and while the person awaits this diagnosis, they will be registered as a provisional member for twelve months. Provisional membership can be extended beyond this if necessary. Membership to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA costs AUD$20 per annum.

Being diagnosed with MS can impact both you and your family. As a financial Member of the Society your family can access information and some support from the staff. You may want to bring your family to our Newly Diagnosed Seminars. Our counsellors can provide valuable support to assist with coping with the diagnosis and the changes and uncertainty that people may feel.
