Check out our list of events to find out what is coming up and how you can support MSWA.
At the MS Society, we like to promote a healthy lifestyle, which includes regular participation in exercise. Through our physical activity events, we encourage people to set a goal, and then work towards achieving it! You can set yourself a ‘vertical challenge’ in our Step Up for MS, put together a 12-person relay team for our Swim for MS, or enjoy the breathtaking views as you ride along the coast in our Ocean Ride for MS. Here’s a quick description of our physical challenges:
The MS Society is proud of its history in the theatre, starting in 2004, with a production of the King and I, and in 2010, launching our first pantomime, Puss in Boots. Our pro-am theatre productions provide us with the opportunity to engage with the community, giving young performers the chance to be on stage.
It’s important to us that people know who we are and what we do. So, on World MS Day (the last Wednesday in May), we ask people to help us raise awareness by joining us on our Street Appeal in the City of Perth. The next week after World MS Day is our MS Awareness Week, where we conduct activities to tell people about MS, and how they can get involved with the MS Society.
The MS Society also hosts an annual dinner auction to raise funds for people with MS in Western Australia.
You can have fun, win a prize and show your support at the same time!
