High Care Accommodation

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA has three Supported Accommodation Facilities: Fern River in Wilson, Hamilton Hill and Treendale Gardens, Australind.

These facilities provide accommodation options for those people with Multiple Sclerosis (or similar neurological conditions) who can no longer manage in their own homes in the community, and who would otherwise move into an aged care facility.

Each facility has a manager (a qualified nurse), an assistant coordinator and Care Support Workers, who provide 24hr on site care for the residents.

The facilities also have an after hours on-call Nurse for telephone advice.

Funding for care is provided through individually funded packages available through the Disability Service Commission; however there are eligibility Criteria.
